Welcome to another exciting book tag that I saw on Kristin Kraves Books. This is one all about making a prediction as to your next few reads. I generally don’t think ahead too much when it comes to reading so this might be a bit of a challenge for me.

Prince Caspian by C. S. Lewis. I recently finished The Horse and His Boy and am following the series through. I love the movie of Prince Caspian and have probably seen it a dozen times. The Chronicles of Narnia series is amazing and reading it not only for the narrative but observing the biblical allegory is a beautiful piece of authorship.

Next Five Star Read

I am getting this soon! After hearing bookish people recommend this so many times I have decided to read it for myself. I hope I won’t be disappointed.

Next One Star Read

Look, this is a bit of a strange prompt because if I expect to hate a book (that’s a one star rating for me) I won’t read it. It’s as simple as that. So for me to read a book that I then rate one star eg. Gone Girl I will read it because I am sure I will love it or have been recommended it.

I have chosen Looking For Alaska by John Green because a part of me wants to read it but I am worried it will turn out like Paper Towns (which was a two star read for me – so boring and the characters did not change over the story. They were really really frustrating as well).

Next Love Interest (or Character that Seems Really Cool to You)

I have been wanting to read Emma by Jane Austen for some time now so thought I’d give this prompt to Mr. Knightly. I don’t know much about him but I know no one will ever be as gentlemanly and kind-hearted as Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice.

Next Book You’ll Be Buying

Everything Everything by Nicola Yoon has been widely praised for some time now. I am definitely interested in reading it so will probably buy it second hand from my favorite book store. Although I have too admit I am getting a little over the ‘I have a bad disease and I fall in love with someone I can’t touch’ common book trope.

Next Book That Will Leave You with a Book Hangover (and Desperately Wanting a Reread or Next in Series)

Land of Stories by Chris Colfer – I know this one may be a little odd for me. But I don’t care – this series is sooooo good. This series may be aimed towards children but it was honestly one of the best books I read in 2019. I am currently up to book no. 5 and I am sure a book hangover will hit me when I finish book 6. Chris Colfer has worked legendary fairytales into a story set in the real world and how the two worlds collide (actually the title of book 6!) with the lives of the Bailey twins.

So there we go. My predictions for my next reads. I tag everyone who reads all the way down to here. Good on you! 😉
