Today I am embarking on my very first book tag. I was tagged by Kristen Kraves Books, quite a while ago but finally got to doing this tag. It is a simple tag but that is what I need when starting out with book tags, don’t ya think?
Rules:
- Find a book published 10+ years ago.
- Find a book published THIS year.
- Find a book that will be published NEXT year.
- Tag other book bloggers at the bottom of this post to spread the tag.
Past
Great Expectations by Charles Dickens

This book was published in the year 1861 so definitely attributes to the past section. I really quite liked this book, the relatable characters and the enticing plot combined to make a well-esteemed classic. Great Expectations should most definitely go on your TBR if you are a fan of classics or Dickens.
Present
Broken Throne by Victoria Aveyard

As I am a huge fan of the Red Queen series this book was an obvious pick for me. I enjoyed the backstory of our beloved main characters and seeing what came before shows just how good Aveyard is a writer to embark on World Building. I particularly liked the change in perspective where we could see what life was like for other main characters in Red Queen or those that came before. My favorite novella was Steel Scars – Farley is my favorite character. You can check out my review of this here.
Future
Untitled Panem Novel

That’s right this book doesn’t even have a title or a cover yet but will be released May 19th 2020. Suzanne Collins will revisit the world of Panem sixty-four years before the events of The Hunger Games, starting on the morning of the reaping of the Tenth Hunger Games. I have always wondered what happened before the 74th Hunger Games and who had won the previous games. This book will be a must read for HG lovers.
I tag everyone to do this but in particular, Many Things Bookish, Jayati, Paw-some Reads and The Lexington Bookie. What would be on your 2020 TBR?
